The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day activities of active Construction projects in consultation with the Project Manager, including coordinating meetings, organizing and maintaining project documentation, and creating and maintaining reports as needed to carry projects to successful completion from beginning to end.

This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. The Superintendent provides on-site management and field supervision for all phases of construction/renovation projects and is responsible for insuring the highest quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the project. Superintendents exercise direct supervision over assigned crews and subcontractors from start to finish; providing direction, leadership, and guidance to employees and subcontractors, assisting them in planning, coordination and successful execution of their work in order to complete the project in a timely and economical manner with high standards of workmanship. Responsible for maximizing profits on assigned projects. The Superintendent will manage daily and weekly trade schedules, as well as on-site performance, ensure compliance with code and serve as contact point for all local and state inspectors.

The Construction Internship at S. Watts Group provides relevant field experience for junior or senior level construction management/science students. Our internship program provides a realistic view of what it’s like to work in a general contractor environment through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our interns assume a wide variety of responsibilities during their time with S. Watts Group.
Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs and change orders) and progress reporting.
Work with field supervision to assist with project layout, construction drawing and trade coordination, verification of field conditions and quality control.

Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
